Numeracy

Below are some of the number songs we sing in Enfys daily. In the Home learning packs we sent home, some of you may have had a visual board with song related images on. We use these visual supports to assist with counting songs that the pupils enjoy and find motivating. Unfortunately we didn't have enough resources made up at the time, to send everyone the same visual boards home.

If you do have the ducks or the frogs visuals, you could play the songs and use the visual number boards to help your child count the pictures and practice taking one picture away at a time. If not I am sure your child will enjoy watching the songs and you could use your fingers or any related objects in your home to support the counting and taking away element within the songs.

We're going on a Bear Hunt- Numeracy ideas:

Can you find some teddies in your house? Can you line them all up and count them? How many do you have?

Can you find a 'big' teddy at home? Can you find a 'small' teddy at home? What about a 'middle' sized teddy? Can you line them up in order of their size?

Remember if you  get any fab photos, it would be great to share them on the class page!
