Languages, Literacy and Communication
What you will need for the Gruffalo sensory story -
- Any puppets of the animals in the story you can find or printed characters on sticks! i.e. Gruffalo, Mouse, Fox, Owl, Snake
- Wood - dark blanket and sticks/leaves
- Rocks - stones
- Stream - water spray or bowl of water
- Scrambled Snake - bread crumbs or cereal
- Owl Ice cream - cold pack from fridge
- Roasted Fox - warm microwave wheat bag (see website for instructions how to make)
- Lake - foil
- Log pile house - twigs and small logs
- Tree house - leaves
- Under ground house - dark blanket
- 'You go ahead and I'll follow after' - walk around in a circle and listen to the song
- Gruffalo crumble - dry rice to throw in the air
- Nut - conkers
