Ty Gwyn Special School

"Learning To Achieve"

All Things Welsh

This half term we will focus on

We live in Cardiff the Capitol City of Wales and we are lucky to have so

many great things to talk about and explore that symbolise being Welsh.

St David's Day is celebrated every year on March 1st.

As part of our celebrations we made delicious Welsh Cakes!

Pice ar y maen, a Welsh teatime treat passed on through generations

and still as popular as ever.

Perfect for making with the children

We enjoyed the Welsh Tac -Pac!

We loved making Leek prints!

They smell so good too!

We also made tasty Leek and Potato Soup!

We explored items that are symbols of Wales and being Welsh.

We had fun being sheep and making sheep pictures!

The Welsh project this year was a cookery competition! We made Sheep cupcakes and a poster showing how we made them and how we extended the Sheep theme!
