"Learning To Achieve"

Pen-Y-Fan

Hi everyone,

I have added a new home learning ideas sheet for this half term.  All of the resources you'll need can be found in the folders above and if you're still looking at things from last half term, I have left all of those resources in there too.  There's lots of ideas and I'll add more as we go along the weeks.

If you need your Purple Mash log in then please just ask me when I call you for our weekly chat.

Take care, we are all missing you so much!

Team Pen-y-Fan

Hope you are all well.

I have designed a sheet of home learning activities that can link to the topic for this half term.  I'll post it below, with some links to ideas that you can use alongside it.

Please do not feel that you need to complete these activities, they are just ideas to support any learning activities that you feel you can do at home.

We hope that you are all safe and well.

I will update this page weekly with guidance and resources that I feel may help your child's learning at home.  Please use the links below for this week's leaning.  I will leave the links active as you may find that some are more popular with your child than others.  There are also links that may be helpful to communication - a website that you can register on to print out basic PECS.

Please continue to use the packs that have been sent home, taking your time to work through the activities.

Please make sure you look at the resources page on this website as it may contain ideas and support for you and your child while learning at home.  Just click on the link above.

In the case of school closure:

We have sent home a list of helpful websites as well as packs of worksheets available from Twinkl.  Please do as much as you can with your child.  Also, please find below a list of links to other websites that you may find helpful.

Please stay safe and we will see you soon.

Next half term our theme will be 'Moving on'.

We'll be looking at how things change and develop e.g. life cycles of plants/animals, how we grow and change, our likes and dislikes etc.  It would be great if you could look at photos of you child of things that they did growing up, looking at how they've changed.

This half term we have been learning about the Rugby World Cup and countries around the world.  We have been learning all about France, looking at tourism, language, art, food, fashion and music.

For our art, we looked at the work of Henri Mattise, learning about his use of colour and shape.  We made some beautiful artwork that looks like his work.

We also tasted French food and made crepes using our favourite tastes such as camembert, bananas and Nutella.  Crepes were a very popular choice!
