A big hello to our intrepid “Uskateers”

We hope you all managed to have a peaceful and restful Easter break during these very difficult and trying times which we`re all, unfortunately, facing at the moment.

Hopefully, to help everyone at home, we`re going to try and give to you a sense of “normality”, covering all aspects of our regular Ty Gwyn life, based on our topic for the half-term, which is….

“Animals”.

There`ll be lots of ideas and activities, (these will change each week), which you may be able to do at home with a little help from our lovely mums and dads. There will be some video links giving you access to our children`s familiarsongs, books and characters, plus a few “renditions” by your favourite staff of some of our crazy sensory stories. (please bear with us, they usually go wrong!)

Don`t forget to take lots of photos, and send us your pictures for us to see, either online or when we eventually manage to all meet up again in school!

In the mean-time have a great “half-term” and keep safe!

For this first week of our 'Animals' topic we thought as we're all at home we'd base our activities on 'Pets'.

Maybe you have a pet you could share a photo of or make a picture of?

Team Usk all love animals and we all have a pet!

Steve has a naughty cat named Dolly!

Anita has a ginger cat named Jasper and 

Bev and Bernie both have dogs.

Bev has a lovely dog called Flint and Bernie has a bouncy young dog called Nala!

Now some craft ideas from Team Usk followed by some simple ideas you might like to try. Please send pictures of your lovely creations and if possible save them to bring to school when we’re all together again 😊

In class - as Bernie explains in her video - we always involve our lovely pupils in every activity to the best of their ability whether they enjoy getting messy or just enjoy ripping paper or like a certain Missy - love guiding our hands to do the work for her!

 We're enjoying putting the videos etc together for you and hope they're providing you all with a welcome distraction during these strange times. But as we've said previously there is no pressure at all for you to do any 'work'.
