"Learning To Achieve"

Autumn

The changing of the Season will always bring us lots of learning oppourtunities and Autumn brings a riot of colour, light, smells, tastes and textures.

We've enjoyed making suncatcher garlands featuring leaves, squirrels, acorns and hedgehogs. We ripped Autumn coloured cellophane and placed them in laminating sheets with outlines. They look lovely with the Autumn sun shining through them.

We're very proud of our Autumn wreath made using our handprints and leaves and conkers we collected from the local community, it looks lovely on our classroom door.

Our Cookery sessions have included Flapjacks topped with seasonal fuits, Harvest apple cake and Hedgehog bread rolls.

Some of the finished  results were better than others

but we've enjoyed being enthusiastic Chefs!

We ended the first half term with some Halloween fun! Pumpkin carving using star shaped cutters, making Jack-O-Lanterns and dressing up on the last day.
