Sensory Play
During messy play activities you can be developing your child’s understanding of colour, number (see numeracy activities) and fine motor skills. Encourage your child to move their hands/fingers around in the messy play and to make different patterns.
Alternatively, just have fun!!!! Messy play can be a lovely time to play with your child and develop communication and shared enjoyment.
