Easter Singalong
Fun Easter Songs
The pupils of Dosbarth Enfys love a good singalong!
We are learning songs which offer stimulating cause and effect learning activities that engage and encourage early listening and language skills.
Action songs help develop fine and gross motor skills. These movements encourage children to use their fingers, hands, and bodies for movements.
Pupils can also learn about numbers from zero to five whilst counting along with the music.
How to support your child during an action song or rhyme: -
- Add actions.
- Use props (can use things from around the home/make props). Some props can be found in the pack sent home.
- Repeat the same rhymes and songs to help your child get to know them and join in.
- Vary your pitch, volume and speed to keep the song interesting.
- Pause to see if your child can join in with repetitive actions, phrases, or fill in a gap.
Here are a few Easter songs to have a singalong to.
Have fun!
10 Easter Bunnies
- Sleeping Bunnies
Lyrics
See the little bunnies sleeping til it’s nearly noon
Shall we wake them with a merry tune?
They're so still, are they ill?
No! Wake up bunnies!
Hop little bunnies, hop, hop, hop
Hop little bunnies, hop, hop, hop
Hop little bunnies, hop, hop, hop
Hop little bunnies, hop and stop.
- 5 Little Ducks
- Chick, Chick, Chick, Chick, Chicken, Lay A Little Egg For Me
- Old McDonald
Dingle Dangle Scarecrow
Lyrics
When all the cows were sleeping
And the sun had gone to bed
Up jumped the scarecrow
And this is what he said
I'm a dingle, dangle scarecrow
With a great big floppy hat
I can shake my hands like this
And I can shake my feet like that
When all the hens were roosting
And the moon behind a cloud
Up jumped the scarecrow
And shouted very loud
When dogs were in the kennels
And doves were in the loft
Up jumped the scarecrow
And whispered very soft
