"Learning To Achieve"

Welcome to our new Context for Learning :

                     Wales is Magic!

We have lots of new and exciting lessons and activities planned this second half of the Spring Term. We will  all be learning together whether that is from home or in school. There is a weekly timetable to follow as well as extra Welsh activities such as stories, Drama and Music and Dance from other staff members and guest storytellers. We have two mini projects to complete as well. One is what makes Wales magical for your child and the other is sharing the Welsh produce we make over the half term. To make these successful we need lots of photos of your child taking part. It could be wearing Welsh costumes or the colour red, visiting Welsh shops, places in Cardiff, parks etc. It may be looking at Daffodils or smelling leeks! When you make your Welsh cakes or Welsh Rarebit during your Food Technology lessons we would appreciate pictures of the outcome.

We will also be celebrating Mother's Day by making cards and presents. (Dads here's one for you). We will be making an Easter Bunny picture and yummy chocolate crispy cakes. You have all been provided with a bag of resources to help you, including sensory and Art and Craft items. Hope you have a busy, happy and healthy half term

Thank you to those of you who sent in family photos. There are photos below of your child in the Autumn and now the Spring Term.

Photos to be uploaded to the site can be emailed to Rachel

Don't forget to take part in our weekly Virtual Assemblies found in the Blended Learning section of the website. We will be giving certificates out as before for exceptional work and achievements whether at home or in school.

NB Timetables:

Timetables are provided each week in the Spring Timetable folder with the blue crayon picture. The Timetable each week will guide you to when each activity is due to be completed and where each lesson is stored. E.g. Week 1- Beginning 22.2.21  'Mark-making with chalk.' You are then directed to the Spring Literacy folder. Remember you can complete activities in your own time and most stories are pre-recorded to allow you to access them when it suits you and your child. There will be some Live Learning sessions for which you will be given notice and supplied with a link to join via e-mail. Thanks Jackie x

P.S. Activities such as Sensory Stories, Action Rhymes, PE and Dance, Weather songs etc can be repeated as many times as you wish to build up your child's anticipation and their ability to show like/dislike for certain activities,  leading to them communicating choices.
