Story Time with Beth- Let's Go Home Little Bear

To make into a sensory story you will need:

This story has lots of lovely sounds you can practice making at home and repeat throughout the story when they’re mentioned.

  • Explore and snap the sticks to make sounds of walking through the woods
  • Use a drum, stamp your feet or shake a tub full of dried pasta or rice each time the bears go ‘plodding’
  • Explore a bowl full of water and use it to make the ‘dripping’ sound
  • Feel some ice cubes to represent the snow and drop them into water to make your ‘plopping’ sound
  • Make a noise into a rolled up piece of card to make the ‘howling’ sound of the wind or use a fan to feel the wind on your face.
  • If you've got two teddy bears, one large and one small these could also be a nice visual addition to the story.
